Azerbaijani Forces Continue to Cause Massive Casualties on Armenian Occupiers

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense reported in a written notice that Azerbaijan troops had neutralized several Armenian forces and shot down two SU-25 attack aircraft and captured hundreds of armored vehicles belonging to the rioters of Yerevan.

On Friday, Azerbaijan stated that it had repulsed Armenia’s night assaults from separate frontier directions.
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense reported in a statement that the clashes took place mainly near Aghdara, Khojavand, and Gubadli.

It continued that several Armenian forces, and also two SU-25 ground attack planes, three T-72 tanks, an armored infantry vehicle, two Smerch, and one Grad Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS), 10 various varieties of artillery, a self-propelled Gvozdika howitzer, an OSA anti-aircraft missile system, and a P-18 radar system had been defused by Azerbaijani troops.

“The Front is under the control of the Azerbaijani Army,” it said.

CONFLICT UPPER KARABAKH

In general, for almost 30 years, about 20% of Azerbaijan’s land, including Nagorno-Karabakh, so-called as Artsakh by ethnic Armenians,  and seven neighboring areas, has been under illegal Armenian occupation.

Four resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and two of the United Nations General Assembly and international organizations call for the “immediate full and unconditional removal of the occupation forces” from the Armenian occupied territories.

According to PACE Resolution 1416, adopted on January 25, 2005, ‘A substantial portion of Azerbaijan’s territories are still controlled by Armenian forces and separatist forces are still in charge of the Nagorno-Karabakh region.’

The Minsk Group of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe ( OSCE), co-chaired by France, Russia, and the US, was established in 1992 to try, but to no effect, a diplomatic solution to the situation.

World forces, including Russia, France, and the United States, have called for tensions in the area to be halted. Meanwhile, Turkey-backed Baku’s right to self-defense and insisted that the invading forces of Armenia withdraw.
